Dr. Maria Montessori (1870 – 1952), an anthropologist and the first female physician in Italy, devoted her life to the study of “how children learn”. Based on scientific observations, she developed a comprehensive child-centered approach to early childhood education. Her method, now time – tested for over ninety years, has achieved success with children through out the world, mainly USA, Canada & Australia.
